Every step of the way the child is accompanied by his animal friends. 'It's time to dress up! Find pants and tees, shoes and socks, shorts and coats, and favorite tops. Pull and zip, and tie a bow, add a hat – now, off you go!' When he gets to school the boy reads, draws, counts and spells. Then it is playtime for swinging, running, jumping and playing hide and seek. Later on when he is sitting at the dinner table, you watch the youngster as he and his animal buddies, 'Chew and sip, slurp and crunch, use knife and fork, chomp and munch.' Next it is time for a bath and then a story before the child cuddles up in his bed and turns off the lights. 'Say goodnight, yawn and stretch, close your eyes, sleep and rest ... Rest up for another day with your friends!' The animal friends you'll find in this picture book for children two years of age and older include an elephant, hippo, little black cat, lion, bear, and a host of other critters. Let them help you get yourlittle one ready for bed at night with this read aloud story.
