I'd like to invite you to accompany me and my doggie friend Fred on an outing to the beach. We love vacations and this is one of our favorite places to visit. Why do Fred and I like the beach so much? Well, we can play in the water, collect seashells, and float just off shore in our sailboat. I also like to watch the sea turtles when they swim beneath our boat. Back on shore we have more fun eating 'sandy sandwiches' and 'drippy ice cream cones'. At night we camp out in a tent and listen to a nearby owl hoot, look at the stars, and let the sea sing us to sleep. Now, doesn't that sound like fun? I hope you decide to come along with Fred and me on this outing. If you are just learning to read, I bet you can probably read this book to yourself since the words aren't too hard and there aren't a lot of them.
