A bored bunny is not paying attention in class, while his teacher is instructing the students about the Black and Red Seas. This prompts a daydreaming journey to the seven seas of the world (at least, the ones in his mind). After taking a bus to Marrakesh, a taxi to Peru, riding a mule to Istanbul, and a yak to Timbuktu, he embarks on his quest: 'The Red Sea looks like pizza sauce--- A little or a lottle. The roosters dine on ladybugs With ketchup from a bottle. The Brown Sea's made of chocolate, A place to drown your cares. Its whipped cream foam is home sweet home To brownish, clownish bears.' When the bunny returns to reality and checks a map, he realizes that all of the seas are blue and not as colorful as in his imagination. The end of the book contains a map, prompting children to find the real seas and distinguish them from the imaginary ones in the book. This is a unique and enjoyable picture book, with perfect meter and lovely, muted colored illustrations.
