iants can be warm and caring people who love to help others. I know this to be true for I'm a giant. My name is Humphrey and I live at the North Pole with my friend, an elf named Leetree. During the year we make all the wrapping paper Santa needs to wrap Christmas presents.
I
got the job done quickly so Leetree and I had some extra time on our hands. When Santa realized this he asked us to grow the holiday tree for Christmastown. Boy, what an honor! Leetree and I were delighted. We planted a seed and took very good care of it and it grew into a beautiful fir tree.
A
fter we decorated the tree, Leetree and I cut it down and headed off for Christmastown. Unfortunately, on the way we lost the tree. Well, actually it floated away. You'll see how that happened when you read this book.
N
ow we had a major, super colossal, mega problem on our hands! And then I thought of a way to salvage the embarrassing situation and still have a splendid tree that everyone could enjoy at Christmastown.
T
he idea was so clever that everyone agreed that '
it was the best Christmas tree anyone has ever seen
'. Even Santa thought it was super.
N
ow, I'm sure you'd like me to tell you what my elf friend and I came up with but my lips are sealed. You'll just have to read the book and look at all of the neat pictures Steve Light created for this story to see our very unusual but wonderful Christmas tree!
