Behind the flaps the child will find more of the Thanksgiving story. For example after the Mayflower arrives in New England you'll pull back a flap to see them unloading their ship. Behind the other flaps you find an Indian woman preparing a meal inside her home; an Indian and Pilgrim fishing together; and a fully laden dinner table with lots of good food. Native Americans and the new English arrivals share center stage in this colorful presentation of the first Thanksgiving. This interactive book should be a hit with curious preschoolers who love to peek behind the flaps to see what's there.
