I
magine if you sneezed so hard you forgot everything, including your own name?
T
hat is the premise of this quirky picture book, in which a little boy, while grocery shopping with his mother, sneezes so powerfully that he develops amnesia, or in this case,
sneezenesia
.
O
ne by one, facts fly out of his brain through his nose, including numbers, names of dinosaurs, '
and an entire hanky's worth of presidents.
' He is fine with forgetting
boring
school stuff, but realized it is serious when he sneezes out Christmas. Eventually he even sneezes out forgotten objects.
W
ill the knowledge ever return to his brain? Will he remember who and where his mother is? You'll have to read more to find out. Expect to be a little grossed out by the graphic, highly exaggerated pictures, but kids with a high tolerance for the
yuk
factor will be intrigued. Interesting tidbits about sneezing are printed on the back.
