H
ere's a board book that features 18 pages, which is more than you usually find for a picture book of this nature. Billed as a
concept
book, there's no real text here, but each page showcases a word and illustration that relates to a circus.
C
ut out windows allow the youngster to get a little glimpse of what the next two page spread holds. The words preschoolers will be introduced to include
tent
,
clown
,
magician
,
elephant
and
jugglers
. You'll also find slightly more complex word combinations like
tightrope walker
,
trapeze artist
and
circus train
.

might be an excellent book to use to introduce a very young child to books and the idea of story time. You'll have to create your own story around the core words and illustrations, but that is not necessarily a bad thing!
