f your child enjoys stories that repeat previous lines like
This Is the House That Jack Built
, he or she will love this tale about the silly events that unfold in the Bickleby's backyard.

t begins with a picture of eight little birds enjoying an old, red birdbath. Then, without warning, the mailman falls into the birdbath after being chased into the backyard by a goose. It really wasn't the goose's fault, though, because a big moose was stung by a bee and scared the goose that chased the mailman. Then of course, he fell into the birdbath.
I
think you get the general gist of this rollicking read-along story. It is really far more complicated and also includes a little boy with a runny red nose, lots of tall grass that needs cutting, a nifty scarecrow, a bird's nest full of old buttons, a flock of very curious crows, and a cute little girl with a leaky hose.
O
h, yes! There's also a very cool surprise awaiting you at the story's conclusion when you discover what the mailman was delivering!
T
his graphic display of backyard mayhem will appeal to youngsters three years of age and older. It's totally ridiculous but still a lot of fun. You and your child will giggle your way through this very eventful day in the Bickleby's backyard!
