On the inside cover of this picture book for youngsters six and older you'll find a map of 7 Oaks showing where all the characters live and the location of the Everlasting Peaks, the Meadow, Fish-Eye Lake and other places Jumper Rabbit and his friends hang out in.

In this story that stresses the idea of 'put first things first: work first, then play,' Jumper and gang are about to play a game of basketball against the badgers. Unfortunately, Jumper isn't wearing his basketball shoes.

When he hurries home to get them, his den is such a mess Jumper can't find his shoes. Goob Bear suggests the messy rabbit might have the sneakers at one of their friends' homes.

After a quick search a dejected Jumper cries out, 'I'll never be able to play basketball again for the rest of my LIFE!'

'Chill,' replies Goob. 'They've gotta be in your hole. Let's go back and look.'

Sure enough, with the bear's help, Jumper finds his shoes, but before they head for the basketball court, Goob insists they arrange everything so this won't happen again.

As Goob explains, to avoid this predicament in the future you need to remember that there is, 'A place for everything, and everything in its place'!

At the back of this book there is a discussion of why it is important to follow Goob's advice and ideas on how to achieve this goal in creating an orderly room.
