Little Nye, Lester and Nella all ask if they can accompany their friend. 'Well, I'll be climbing mountains, and there might be a grizzly. Adventurers have to be brave,' responds Gracie. After they agree that they can be brave, won't be afraid of the dark, and will sit for a very long time in a boat while fishing, Gracie says her friends can join her on her big adventure. Holding her big map, says, 'OK, but I'll be the leader.' You'll be surprised to see where this intrepid team of explorers is off to. Rather than find a grizzly they discover bluebells, butterflies, feathers, bugs and leaves. 'There wasn't a grizzly, Gracie!' says Little Nye. 'Not this time,' replies Gracie. 'But you never know when you go into the wild.' A cute group of characters and vibrant color illustrations will make this backyard adventure one your toddler will want you to read him or her over and over again.
