ello. My name is Felicity and this is the story of what happened the day I visited the local zoo. You see, I had a very red, runny nose and when I sneezed I didn't use a tissue to cover my nose so my fingers '
were sticky with green, gloppy goo
'.
A
s I went around to see all the cool animals I reached out to pet them and left behind my little handprints of '
green residue
'. Soon my little handprints were on the lizards, llamas, and ostriches as well as the giraffe and the kangaroo. By the time the afternoon was over my handprints were all over the zoo animals.
T
hen the strangest thing happened. All of the animals, down at the zoo were snuffling and snorting and sneezing ACHOO. The lions wouldn't roar and the tigers just mewed. And, the hyenas, why, they stopped laughing and instead cried boo-hoo.
'
The zookeeper honestly hasn't a clue
Why all of the animals have a green hue.
Their temperatures soared past a hundred and two,
And they're sluggish and sleepy and slightly subdued.
'
N
ow I'm not sure what happened to these perfectly fine critters who suddenly and mysteriously fell mightily ill, but some people think I had something to do with it. Nonsense. All I had was a little cold! How could that have possibly caused such a problem?
I
hope you read my story with all the cute illustrations. See if you can find my little green handprints that appear on all the animals. And, maybe, when you finish reading this book, you might want to wash your hands!
