M
y name is Sophie Peterman and I want to make it very clear from the very start that I always tell the truth! That being said, I'm here to tell you that if your folks ever ask you if you'd like to have a little brother or sister, shout '
NO WAY!!
'
T
hree years ago my parents asked me that question and I said, '
Yes!
' and, boy, was that ever a BIG mistake! In my book I explain exactly why I was really sorry Mom and Dad brought a baby brother home. If you ask me, regardless of what everyone said, babies are not sweet, precious or cute. In fact, my little brother became my worst nightmare. You'll see all the things he did that really drove me crazy.
S
ome of the things I learned about babies include the fact that if you try to sell one, nobody will buy it and if you try to pick one up, watch out because it will very likely leak and get you all wet! And, what's even worse, when they learn to crawl and walk, babies turn into little monsters. Some of the icky things they do can really gross you out too!
B
ut having a little brother isn't all bad; there are some good things too, but I'll let you find out what is neat about have a little brother when you read my book. Also, if you have a little brother or sister I think you'll find my story is really funny and it will make you laugh a lot.
O
h, one more thing! Pay close attention to what I tell you about NOT telling your parents you really like your little brother or sister, because if you do they might decide to go out and get another one and then YOU'LL REALLY BE OUTNUMBERED!
