It's the job of Keyholders to protect other humdrums by ensuring that 'magic stays out of our world.' Best friends Luke and Penny - and bossy Natalie - live in Morgantown on the edge of mysterious dark woods. In the first episode, old Mr. Leery and his talking cat Mo introduced the trio to their new roles as Keyholders, each with a link to the magical world - a small dragon (Dracula) for Luke, a unicorn (Kirin) for Penny and a rat (Buttercup) for Natalie. In the second episode the Queen of Boggarts went on the rampage and hobgoblins kidnapped Mr. Leery. Now as Inside the Magic opens, the Keyholders and their links set out to rescue their mentor. A natural at finding leaks in the border, arrogant Natalie sets out 'to save the world' on her own. Working together, Luke and Penny manage to follow her ... right into the first of many traps. They escape goblins, befriend a tree-like troll, fight pixies, and rescue Leery from the Cave of the Winds, the Boggart Queen raging behind them. All it took was teamwork, an important lesson for the three rookie Keyholders, who will face the Queen's vengeance in the next exciting episode, The Wrong Side of Magic.
