In this picture book for children four and older the clever bird fields queries about why some beetles are never thirsty, why it rains so much in a rain forest, and why you should stay out of trees during a lightning storm.

he letters Dr. K receives from critters seeking advice pose some very thorny questions. For example, Fennece Fox wants to know why she's been told it's a foolish idea to consider visiting her cousin in the Arctic.

' He also needs some tips on keeping cool.
