story follows Dora, Boots and Tico as they start a brand new school year. Everyone is excited because Boots will learn Spanish while Tico gets to learn English this year.
O
n the way to school the trio encounters Swiper, who is hiding behind a gate and wants to take their lunches. But not to worry; he doesn't succeed. Ms. Perez greets the students at the classroom and everyone settles in for the first day of school.
Y
oungsters can participate in this story by uncovering Swiper's hiding place, helping the children find the classroom's special lunch box storage area, and showing Tico where the paper and pencils are kept inside his desk.
A
s usual in this series, a little Spanish is mixed in with the English text to introduce the child to some simple Spanish words and expressions.
