S
teady Hands
is a wonderful collection of poems by Tracie Vaughn Zimmer, with beautiful accompanying illustrations by Megan Halsey and Sean Addy. These illustrations give
Steady Hands
the feel of a vintage scrapbook, and the free verse poems make it feel like you are reading someone's private thoughts.
T
he only problem I had with it was that some of the poems seemed to touch on some things or use some words that would be over children's heads, making it seem more suitable for the parents to read aloud to their kids, who are busy looking at the pictures.
N
onetheless,
Steady Hands
is an intimate collection of poems that aptly depict different professions, making it a refreshing and peaceful read.
