Each page shows animals singing and praising God in their own unique ways, and with joy very evident on their faces. Even though I didn't know the tune, I couldn't help but read aloud in a silly sing-song voice that my one-year-old daughter found hilarious: 'All God's critters got a place in the choir - some sing low, some sing higher, some sing out loud on the telephone wire.' This book has spectacular illustrations! I was impressed with the detail and the many different kinds of critters that inhabit the pages - from frogs and owls to possums, ducks, and grizzly bears. I think kids of all ages will enjoy looking at the pictures, and toddlers who are learning about different types of animals and the noises they make will find this an enjoyable read as well. Although the music and lyrics are available on the last page of the book, a CD with this song on it would have been immensely helpful, especially for those who don't read music. Despite this, I found All God's Critters to be a delightful picture and rhyming book. The ability to sing along to it if you know the song adds to the fun!
