Baby Nose to Baby Toes    by Vicky Ceelen Order:  USA  Can Random House, 2009 (2009) Hardcover      Reviewed by Hilary Williamson Read Vicky Ceelen's Baby Nose to Baby Toes with an infant, as an introduction to their own body parts as well as to a variety of little animals who are surprisingly similar when looked at very close up. Two-page photo comparisons begin with baby's versus duckling's heads and end with 'Sleepy baby, beddy-bye' next to a 'Slimy froggy, buggy-eye!' Along the way, I especially liked the cranky, howling baby face next to a growling lion cub, and the juxtaposition of a 'Wrinkly, crinkly' baby's rear with a 'saggy, baggy' elephant bottom, but they're all well done. The back cover of this oversize board book says it all: 'What do babies and little animals have in common? They are loveable from head to toe!'
