Princess Baby, Night-Night
, Karen Katz gives us a baby-centric view of bedtime. As her parents call, '
Princess Baby, are you getting ready for bed?
', we see the young royal happily bouncing on it with all her stuffed animals in the air.
Y
ou can see where this is going, right? As the oddly absent parents keep calling their questions, Princess Baby prances around her domain, her entourage in tow, doing everything to and with them that her mom and dad request - from dress-up, to tea party, to communal bath time, to reading marathon (my very favorite part).
O
f course all these bedtime preparations for so many stuffed animals are totally exhausting, leading to a sweet and loving ending to this charming, beautifully illustrated picture book. Little girls, who are reluctant to go to bed, will adore Princess
Baby, Night-Night
.
