Does your child hate nighttime? Does he shiver at the thought of darkness? Is she frightened even with a night light?

Well, I can't promise that this book will cure a child of after-dark phobia, but it will definitely help children focus on the fun and positive side of nighttime with its rich, vibrant illustrations and lyrical prose reminding them of all the things that make night nice! 'So hop into bed, Turn over thrice And whisper this softly: Night's nice, night's nice, night's nice.'

I love the random splashes of color throughout Night's Nice and the old-fashioned, 50's-style illustrations. My six-month-old daughter loved the bright pictures, too - she blew bubbles and squealed enthusiastically, trying to grab the shining moon and fireworks with her plump little hands. Also, there is something soothing and lyrical about this book and even I was starting to feel lulled to sleep after reading it out loud.

It's the perfect bedtime book, sure to make any child smile and dream of the things that can only be enjoyed at night - a big, glowing moon, splashy fireworks in a black sky, glowing pumpkins on Halloween, glittering lights on Christmas Eve, and finally peacefully sleeping children all cozy in their beds.
