atz's lovely language captures the essence of the changing seasons. The poems are all wonderfully descriptive, such as: '
July is when my friends and I bottle slices of the sky - barefoot, holding Mason jars, trapping tiny flickering stars. July is when the Milky Way doesn't seem so far away and I imagine there might be stars like ours and kids like me.

he gorgeous illustrations are alive with vivid purples, greens, oranges, and just about every shade of the rainbow. Many races and ethnicities are represented, and everyone is portrayed as enjoying life to the fullest. I highly recommend this wonderful book for children aged five and over.
