This is a new adventure in the Arthur series, familiar to fans of the books and (PBS Kids) television show. It's a snow day and Arthur wants to meet his friends 'at the big hill', but Dad says that D.W. is too small to walk in the deep snow and they must wait for the plow.

Though Arthur wants desperately to be outside, it's much too deep for D.W., so he reluctantly plays Tower of Cows with her, and reads her a story. When the plow finally comes by, his friends have finished sledding. But Dad has a wonderful surprise, a reminder that good things are usually 'worth waiting for.'

Arthur and the Big Snow is a sweet story that teaches consideration for smaller friends and siblings, and reminds kids that patience and good behavior are often rewarded.
