The Last Heroes

by Malibu Comics Entertainment. The mission of the heroes,
'The Ultimates™'
, is to save the world.
Ordinary
men and women are enlisted by Professor James Carnell to participate in an experiment, intended to activate dormant human capacities. Upon the death of Dr. Carnell (natural or deliberate), the Heroes are hunted by their nemesis.

' (as presented in this graphic novel) were originally conceived and created in 1993 by Grant and Kane. During his youth, Grant became a fan of Kane's. Diligently following the latter's career, Steven Grant had the opportunity in later years to work with Gil Kane. Kane was a comics artist who specialized in super-heroes, including
