've been reading Brust's Vlad Taltos books forever, it seems.

follows
Tsalmoth
as the seventeenth in this most unusual fantasy series that began with
Jhereg
. As always, the dialogue (especially with jhereg Loiosh) is just as engaging as the action - and there's plenty of that as Vlad is on the run once more.

he Left Hand is after him with all their sorcerous resources and there's no place to hide - or is there? Vlad ends up holing up in a theater that his its own problems. A show banned centuries before is being rehearsed again, and the powerful House that once killed to stop its performance is now trying to shut down the theater.

lad makes a deal and soon all his world's a stage. He plays a small part in the performance and a much bigger one in helping the other players and saving the show. As always, Vlad, Loiosh et al offer a most entertaining read!
