Stories about the legendary Fountain of Youth continue to crop up from time to time. In this latest revisiting of the ages old tale, a group of Spanish conquistadors not only discovers the fountain in what is now Florida but they also benefit from its magical properties.

Simon and his men have withstood the ravages of time thanks to the special waters of the fountain, but they now have a serious dilemma facing them. The source of the water that has kept them all young is destroyed and now they are engaged in a race against time to re-create the elixir that has kept them alive.

A brilliant scientist holds the key to the puzzle of replicating the remaining drops of the fountain, but the young man is drawn into a conflict that dates back centuries and challenges the conquistadors' continued immortality.

With its wild plot which offers some fantastic twists, The Eternal World is a quick, engrossing read that will make those who don't demand that their fiction be grounded in reality quite satisfied with the end product.

Those who followed the author's Nathaniel Cade series about a vampire who was employed by the President of the United States will know what to expect in this latest Farnsworth adventure and will find it equally entertaining.
