T
he Bands of Mourning
continues (from
Shadows of Self
) the series that started with
Alloy of Law
, starring Waxillium, Wayne and their band of adorable misfits. The story starts on the day of Wax's and Steris's wedding when they are again pulled into dangerous circumstances by the god Harmony's machinations.
T
his time their target is the
Bands of Mourning
, a set of legendary metalminds used by the Lord Ruler himself (from the original
Mistborn
novel). Myth tells that these bands confer upon the user the Lord Ruler's Allomantic and Feruchemical powers, rendering them as close to divinity as a human can get. Of course power like this attracts all sorts of attention and the shadowy Set can not pass up such an enticing opportunity.
T
he Bands of Mourning must not fall into the wrong hands and it becomes a race that Wax's posse must win to preserve the peace. Although, conflict may be a foregone conclusion in the lands of Scadrial.
T
his is another fantastic entry into the Cosmere and an epic
Mistborn
adventure. Along the way there will be love, laughs and great secrets revealed, which will change the face of the world forever.
