H
ere's a picture book that offers a humorous but accurate look at the kinds of things parents do for their children that often get overlooked. From fixing broken toys, and finishing food that their children won't eat, to cleaning up messes and giving cuddles, parents handle all those thankless tasks that normally go unrecognized.
S
ara Ogilvie's wonderful, funny illustrations underscore each of these tasks and even children who can't read the text themselves will get the book's main idea, and recognize many of the things their own parents do for them.
T
he rhymed text makes this a fun picture book to read aloud, and beginning readers will find it easy to help out with the narrative by supplying key words.
