Learn a little French as you accompany a small girl and her grandfather on a walking tour of Paris. You'll visit many of the famous attractions of this French city as well as discover some fascinating bits and pieces of the capital city's history.

For example, did you know that Napoleon hung the famous Mona Lisa painting in his bedroom, or that the Paris metro is the second busiest subway system in Europe after Moscow?

Salvatore Rubbino has already taken young readers on excursions through London and New York, so this latest picture book adds another major city to the list of his walking adventures. What's especially nice is that he includes a smattering of French words so the youngster learns more than just what the major landmarks are.

The pages are a little busy and the sidebar type is rather small and can sometimes get lost in the artwork, but that will force readers to carefully peruse the scene and take it all in.

Adult Francophiles and armchair travelers will also find this a charming book and one they might like to add to their travel libraries.
