isa Morton writes with panache, cornering the flavour, atmosphere and social mores of England, Europe and the United States in the latter part of the 1800's. Lady Diana definitely lives an unconventional and adventurous lifestyle, and more so once she inherits all that comes with her husband's title. Her dogged pursuit of the truth surrounding his demise and her quest to close every last portal make for a fun ride as she dukes it out, both mentally and physically, with various antagonists, otherworldly, or not.
