You'll find a plethora of pajama wearing piggies in this picture book which beautifully illustrates how difficult it can sometimes be to get children into bed.

The five piggies featured here have supposedly been put to bed, but as soon as their mama goes back downstairs, chaos reigns. 'Piggies in pajamas, jumping in the air, tossing up the pillows, popcorn in their hair. Climbing up the mountain (their bunk bed), lined up in a row, diving in the ocean, piggies holler, 'Go!''

The rowdiness continues until they think their mother is coming back. When that happens everyone quickly slips under their covers and pretends to be asleep. The fun goes on for quite a few pages before this pile of rambunctious piggies finally decides to settle down for the night.

You may be surprised by where they find a cozy place to sleep, but it is all part of the fun that makes Piggies in Pajamas (sequel to Piggies in the Kitchen) such a delightful book. This new series with its mischievous but loveable characters is a welcomed addition to the genre.
