The Buffin Street pets are having a bit of fun when they discover Fozham Pond has frozen over. All the animals are fairly accomplished at skating around on the ice, except Honey. The little yellow dog just can't seem to get the hang of staying upright on the frozen surface.

Eventually, after she watches the other pets show off on the ice, Honey figures it out. Now she is sliding and gliding without falling. 'Wheee! Look at me! I'm amazing!' Honey says. Indeed she is very amazing!

After reading this book there's a short quiz which the reader can take to see how well he or she remembers the simple story. 'Who invites Honey to go skating? What happens when Honey first steps onto the ice?' These are a few of the questions you'll find.

This simple picture book will have your youngster skating through this story on his or her own in no time at all. The test at the end of the book is a helpful way of seeing how much information the child can retain once the story has been mastered.
