t is Christmas Eve and Jim and his mother have left some gingerbread men on a plate by the tree for Santa to nibble on. But Captain Cookie, complete with a toothpick peg leg and gingerbread cutlass, is not happy with the situation.

im keeps Captain Cookie close to his bed because he is the child's favorite cookie. When everyone has retired for the night, though, Captain Cookie embarks on a daring adventure to rescue his crew. He's heard of a sinister cannibal named Santa and hopes to spare his men the ignominious fate of being Santa's snack.
