Let's build a new house. To do so we will have to call upon a variety of trucks. First there's a digger to move dirt and dig the foundation. Then you need a steamroller to make streets and tamp down the earth so it is nice and firm.

Dump trucks will bring materials to the construction site, as will a big cement mixer. Finally, a yellow crane will be needed to lift heavy parts of the building into place. And, when everyone is finished, there is a brand new house just waiting for someone to move into!

This board book not only features simple illustrations of various types of construction machines (the title is misleading since more than just trucks are featured here), but each page also has a touch-and-feel element. It might be the wheels of the cement mixer, the bin on the dump truck or the digger's shovel.

If you are building a young child's library, this picture book featuring simple construction equipment would be a good addition. If dad is employed in the construction sector, Trucks would also be a good way of showing the child what his or her daddy does!
