This Know/Wonder board book features color photos of a little turtle, dolphin, octopus, walrus, and sea lion pup, plus some otters and sea horses. Along with the photo the accompanying text tells something about each critter and how it survives in its watery environment.

'I zip around looking for tasty fish to gobble up,' says the dolphin. 'Watch me leap into the air splash!'

The reader will learn that an octopus has eight long arms; a walrus' whiskers help him find tasty treats; and the sea horse's long nose is ideal for sucking up food, and when she rests she uses her tail for holding on to sea grass.

Lots of action words such as zoom, zip, whiz and swish are used to capture the way these sea creatures maneuver about their ocean homes. Children three years of age and up will love seeing these baby animals and learning a little bit about how and where they live.
