'Biddy-biddy bim-bom bim-bom bop, Spin! Swing! Sway! Diver! Jump! Pop! The party's going wild at the Hanukkah Hop!' With the carpets rolled back and the klezmer band providing the music, all the guests invited to Rachel's house are in for a wonderful time.

But first Rachel and her parents must decorate and prepare all the good food. The menorahs are brought out and shined. Candles are set in place and the dreidels are set on the table with plenty of chocolate geld. Then the guests begin to arrive. Bubbes, zaydes, nieces, nephews, great-aunts and second cousins and neighborhood friends are all welcomed.

After lighting the menorahs, enjoying some scrumptious latkes and jelly donuts, the children listen to story of the Maccabees and play with the dreidels.

But, the real fun begins when the music starts. 'Cousins are twisting and jumping and flipping. Great-aunts and uncles are stepping and dipping. Bubbes are tapping. Zaydes are snapping. Parrot is squawking with wings flap-flapping. Toddlers are wiggling and children are giggling. Daddy is stomping, Mommy is Hopping, Rachel is whirling and bim-bim-bopping.'

It is a wild night and fun way to celebrate the Festival of Lights and no one enjoys all the dancing more than little Rachel.

Children three years of age and older will love following the rhymed text and observing the action illustrations in this festive picture book that makes Hanukkah hop and pop. So let the dancing begin ...
