Let's Look at Dinosaurs    by Frances Barry Order:  USA  Can Candlewick, 2011 (2011) Hardcover     Reviewed by Bob Walch The dinosaur book just keeps coming because young children continue to be fascinated by these prehistoric creatures. This latest picture book features collage illustrations and bold colored flaps that engage the youngster in the text. Each two page spread begins with a question such as 'I wonder how far pterodactylus can fly?' or 'I wonder why ankylosaurus has a club at the end of his tail?' And, of course, the answer is on the opposite page. While the question-and-answer narrative provides some information about each dinosaur, the interactive element allows the child to move creatures around in some manner. Fairly sturdy in construction, with average use and a little care this book will last quite a while, which is good because it will probably be one of your child's favorite books. The pronunciation key of the names of the critters featured in the book is located on the inside cover and I think you'll find it will be quite handy!
