My name is Marco and I am a very busy little bird. My list of things to do really expands around bedtime. Why, last night my mother said it was time to go to bed but I was working on a painting. It was a self-portrait of me, of course, so I couldn't just stop now, could I?

Also, when I did finish the painting I still had to do one other thing. I am looking for new kinds of fish and that's not something you can just put off until tomorrow!

Really, that may sound silly, but finding fish is an important job. Then there's my work in my laboratory developing new inventions like the stilt car and invisibility gum. And, oh, I can't forget that I have to practice my skateboarding moves, plus Uncle Ed wants me to go bowling with him.

Can't you see I really can't go to bed quite yet? There's just so much still to do before the lights go out! Maybe I can just stay up a little longer and I'll get all this stuff done. Or not!

Oh, no, I am not sleepy! I never felt more awake in my life! I have to practice my banjo and play on my trampoline. What do you mean, 'Good NIGHT, Marco!'?

If you know a little boy or girl who doesn't like to go to bed at night, I think they'll love my picture book. Maybe you can read it at bedtime! That would be really cool!
