n Christmas Eve, as his dad reads his favorite story to him, Edward wonders how Santa Claus remembers all the boys' and girls' names, where they live, and what presents to give them - his mother suggests that perhaps Santa '

fter the presents are left that night, Edward finds that special book in front of the fireplace. Anxious, he signals Santa, who asks him to come along and help when Santa forgets something. Though Edward admits he can't read, Santa wants him to go along and hold the book open anyway.
