Here's an activity book that offers a lot of bang for your buck. All you'll need is a pencil, eraser, scissors, and a sense of humor to enjoy the zany things the author suggests you try. As the title suggests, this book is all about words and their use.

There is a cautionary section about words that hurt such as 'you're ugly', 'you're dumb', and 'I don't like you'. Of course, Boucher admonishes the reader to always think before using these words.

Whether it's solving a silly riddle, decorating a cake with your favorite words, listing words that make you laugh, or creating your own book, you'll discover a wide array of engaging activities.

The only real downside to I Love Words is the hand printing the author employs is so light that it is occasionally a challenge to read. That's a minor problem, though, and certainly is offset by the hours of fun this clever activity book will provide for children age seven and older.
