ou're invited to take a tour of the barnyard with the animals in this clever
board book. With the cows pecking away at the typewriter with their hoofs, every scene around the farm is captured for young readers age one and older to enjoy.
Beneath blue blankets.
here's lots of alliteration as you work through the alphabet and if the text doesn't always make sense, it doesn't really matter because the cute illustrations along with the '
kittens kicking, leaping, licking
' and the '
mice munching, nibbling nibbles
' are all that really matters.
hen you get to the end of the story it becomes apparent the critters were preparing for a picnic where there will be lots of watermelons for all. '
X marks the picnic spot
' and once everyone has feasted there will be lots of '
' and then some '
' sounding as everyone takes a nap!
he idea is simply to make learning letters fun for preschoolers and the animals have succeeded admirably!
