otal confusion reigns in this humorous holiday tale about a little owl who is mistaken for Santa Claus. Wearing a festive red hat and pulling a sled with his stuffed toy in it, Baby Owl has been out playing in the forest. It is Christmas Eve and as the fluffy bird heads home, a little rabbit confronts him.
'"
Santa!" called Baby Hare. "It's you!"
"I'm not Santa!" said Baby Owl. "Don't be so silly!"
"But you are Santa!" insisted Baby Hare. "You're wearing a red hat with fur on it. Santa wears a hat like that.
"'

he debate ebbs back and forth for a while before Baby Owl gives in to stop Baby Hare's tears. '
Oh, all right!
' cried Baby Owl. '
I'm Santa! Okay? Ho, ho, ho! Just stop crying, please!
'

urning off the water works and upon taking a closer look, Little Hare now changes his mind. '
You're not Santa!
' he says. Now the whole argument begins anew and pretty soon both youngsters are in tears.

ortunately, the real Santa suddenly appears to assuage the disgruntled owl and bunny. '
Now, come and give me a hug and let's have no more of this crying,
' laughs Santa.

hildren two years of age and older will delight in the silly antics of these two woodland creatures who let a case of mistaken identity almost ruin their Christmas Eve. Not exactly your typical holiday picture book,
"I'm Not Santa!"
is guaranteed to put a smile on your little Christmas elf's face!
