aria Marshall is a gypsy and a psychic - she sees dead people who have not yet crossed over. She is now seeing a man with sad eyes who seems to want to tell her something. Daria meets Ralphie on New Year's Eve when he gets dumped by his fiancée. Daria feels terrible because she was talking to the fiancée in the bathroom and gave her the advice to break up if she thought her fiancé wasn't right for her.

alphie Chickalini is the youngest brother in a large close Italian family. He never knew his mother, because she died when he was born and his father also died recently, leaving Ralph sad and feeling like he was losing everything familiar. He hates change and now that the rest of the family wants to sell the house he grew up in, it seems like his life is closing in on him.

aria leaves her phone at the Chickalini family's pizza place on New Year's Eve. When she calls to pick it up, Ralph's brother-in-law tells her to come for it at the house. They are having a big family dinner and invite Daria in. She fits right in and arranges to bring the kids kite-flying with Ralph. They hit it off and sparks fly but Daria is scared of her feelings and fears change as much as Ralphie. She never stays in one place and has not believed in
forever
since the failure of her first marriage. Daria is still seeing the man with the sad eyes, but now knows that he is trying to help prepare Ralphie for the changes in his life.

aria and Ralphie are warm, fun-loving characters and readers fall for them after meeting them. Wendy Markham has a way of creating real and lovable personalities, and
That's Amore
is a wonderfully crafted story that will leave you feeling warm and fuzzy after reading the last page.
