However, she neglected to pencil in getting dumped by her fiancé, Chris, hours before the ceremony ... by a text message, nonetheless! Thankfully, her friends, relatives and book group are there to help her. After convincing her to follow through with her honeymoon cruise to Mexico, Chloe's book group concludes that they need more adventure in their lives. They decide to live out some of the ventures in the books they are reading. For instance: a blind date for Emma, a camping trip for A Walk in the Woods, a rafting trip for Huck Finn and a trip to Paris for French Women Don't Get Fat. All the excursions are designed to push them out of their comfort zones. A warning to the reader: This book may make you long to visit Paris. There are numerous details on Paris scenery and tourist spots (including the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre and Notre Dame). It also describes, in great detail, French food. It leaves one to wonder what adventures might be encountered if we step outside the box.
