If you're tired of fad diets, or if you've been on the weight loss roller-coaster ride for a while and you're eager to try something new, Neris and India's Idiot-Proof Diet may be just what you need. Written in a fun, conversational style, the book doesn't read like yet one more rehash of the same advice you've heard a million times before. You won't find hard rules that seem impossible to follow, or starvation techniques. The authors are not nutritionists, doctors, or celebrities. They're two women who, frustrated by their weight problems, decided to come up with a diet plan that would work for them.

And it did work. So well, in fact, that Knight and Thomas lost 140 pounds between them. Once they realized their method could work for others struggling with some of the same issues, they turned their simple plan into a book. Neris and India's Idiot-Proof Diet is the result of their efforts.

Perhaps the most appealing aspect of the book is the fact that it's clearly been written by two women who really love food. As they tell us in the introduction, 'This diet was conceived and developed in a restaurant.' Right from page one, you know you're not going to be lacking in delicious food as you follow this program. The diet itself is based off a low-carb menu. That doesn't mean you'll be cutting out carbs entirely; just that you'll be eating them in moderation. The authors offer step-by-step instructions for completely revamping eating habits. They walk you through what you need to stock in the kitchen, how to avoid temptation in restaurants, and everything in between. The goal, they tell us, is to 'learn the plan by heart and it becomes second nature.'

Within the hot pink covers of this book, you'll find plenty of humor, empathy and a brutally honest approach to losing weight and keeping it off. If you're looking for a plan you can stick with, one that will allow you to eat 'delicious food – warm, hearty, rib-sticking food of the kind that is not usually associated with the word 'diet'', Neris and India's Idiot-Proof Diet will give you just what you crave.
