Gunn describes a Sisterchick as 'a friend who shares the deepest wonders of your heart, loves you like a sister and provides a reality check when you're being a brat.' Liz and Kellie are the two Sisterchicks featured in this book. Since she was fifteen, Liz has had a crush on Ben - London's Big Ben, that is. Kellie longs to open her own interior design company. Opal has the opportunity to help them both when she hires Kellie to design her apartment. Opal gives them tickets to go with her to England. The trip has many unexpected turns. It begins when a strange man, who seems to know Opal well, meets them at the airport. Liz and Kellie witness their first pancake race and learn about Shrove Tuesday. Liz had five things she hoped to see and do in England: see Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle and go to a play. Her plans did not include a detour through Oxford or a traumatic subway ride. However, she soon realizes that God is blessing her in a big way. Liz and Kellie both learn the importance of having, and following, the passions and dreams that God placed within them. Sisterchicks Go Brit is full of descriptive scenes and historical details (especially about British authors and locations associated with them). The characters are realistic and it is fun to follow them on their journey.
