rett Allen has a promising career as a research scientist. Cytanepax, the universal anti-rejection medication he is developing, would change the lives of many organ transplant recipients. Lately, Brett has had vivid, realistic dreams. With the help of Joyce Davenport, his therapist, the pieces start to fall in to place.

ussell Craft, a brilliant scientist in his own right, was working on a cure for cancer when he was killed in an apparent robbery. At the time of Russell's death, Brett was thirteen and in need of a heart transplant. His grandfather, Senator George Allen, influenced Brett's placement on the transplant list. Russell turned out to be a match.

t now appears that Brett not only received Russell's heart, but also his memories and scientific knowledge. It seems that Russell's death is linked to the pharmaceutical industry and was anything but an accident. The people who wanted him dead are now targeting Brett. As others connected to him wind up dead, Brett tries to avoid the same fate.
A
t times, the secondary plot is a bit confusing, but the interesting characters and the originality of the primary plot pull the reader into the story of
The Donor
.
