ust days before his marriage to Rachel Grant, Thomas Sheridan takes on an assignment to pilot cargo to South America. When his airplane is lost, Rachel is devastated. She never gets over his death. She leaves Richmond and moves to New York City where she becomes a fashion designer.

en years pass and Rachel's parents are killed in another private airplane crash. She returns home to settle her father's estate. She left Richmond to forget Thomas and now she grieves for three loved ones. Mysteriously she begins catching glimpses of Thomas – across a crowded street, in the yard outside her home, and finally beside the road just before she crashes her car into a tree. Is she seeing a ghost or is Thomas alive?

achel finally meets the man who is a dead ringer for her lost fiancé. He is Adam Delafield and he wants to repay an unrecorded million dollar loan made by her father. He realizes before Rachel does that she is in danger. Someone would like her to go back to New York. Someone is worried about what she'll find while going over her dad's business and private papers.
E
veryone in this suspenseful thriller could be the villain. If the twists and turns don't keep you turning pages, the paranormal aspects and love story will. Only the long ending slows the reader down. Too much detail and explanation take place after the final scene.
