Dancing in the Kitchen chronicles one woman's remarkable ability to trust God in the midst of challenging circumstances - big and small.

Pam Cox's son Justin was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and given the prescription drug Ritalin. Thus began his struggle with spiritual warfare and drug addiction. Over the years, he was in and out of numerous drug rehab programs and halfway houses. Having stolen from his family and showing no remorse for the way he treated them, it became difficult for his family (mom-Pam, dad-Jim and sister-Ashley) to continue to forgive him and bail him out.

While being accused by doctors and counselors of being selfish and not trying to help Justin, Pam continued to trust that God was at work in his life. She found that she was able to help others dealing with similar addiction issues. Pam's sister Karen told her, 'God has a special purpose and a plan for your life. What you are going through is not without usefulness to the Lord.'

As if the battle with Justin were not enough, Pam is faced with a number of situations that would cause many individuals to lose faith and give up on life. Jim is diagnosed with terminal cancer; Ashley is in a serious car accident; Pam's father dies and even their new puppy develops a fatal disease. Yet through it all, Pam refuses to surrender to the what ifs and, instead, focuses on God's amazing love and His perfect plan for her life.

Pam shares every detail and does not hold back the raw emotions. While painful, at times, to read, Pam's story is truly inspiring. It gives the reader hope for whatever difficult situation they may be facing.
