After the 9/11 terrorist attacks, many people were looking for hope and something positive to believe in. Premiering one year later, American Idol seemed to do just that. It united people without regard to generation or race. Where else could you find average people trying to fulfill a dream? This book is filled with hope, love, courage and optimism. It reminds the reader that it is okay to have a dream and pursue it.
