After almost hitting them one day, Cooper meets Jenni trying to coax the family dog out from under the porch after her middle son's latest escapade of making believe that the dog is a dragon. Cooper realizes that the porch has dry rot and comes back to fix it.

She is also grateful for Coop's help fixing up the house, especially as he takes only Dorothy's cooking as payment.

Mistletoe Bay
is part of a series, it also works well as a stand alone. I have not read the other
Misty Harbor
family romances but was not lost.
Mistletoe Bay
is a wonderfully written book with fun characters and funny adventures that keep you reading with a smile. This is a warm and cozy romance and I can't wait to get to Marcia Evanick's other stories.
